Boise City-Ada County Housing Authorities

Through an array of programs and services, Boise City/Ada County Housing Authorities provide affordable housing-related assistance to over 2,600 individuals and families every month, serving people with low and moderate incomes throughout our city and county. Shelter Plus Care (S+C) is a HUD-funded federal rental assistance program designed to provide housing and supportive services on a long-term basis for homeless people with disabilities (those with serious mental illness and chronic problems with alcohol and/or drugs) and their families who are living in places not intended for human habitation or in emergency shelters.

The Transitional Housing program is a federally funded grant designed to provide temporary housing for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking. The program also provides services to participants which may include case management, mental health counseling, transportation, and support groups. These services are provided under a contact by a local service provider.
