The Wilder Housing Authority provides rental housing to eligible Low-Income families with limited income. At one-point Chula Vista Acres operating under the Wilder Housing Authority Leased only to Farm Labor Related workers and offered Subsidized Housing. Today the Wilder Housing Authority (Chula Vista Acres) will lease to families following Idaho code and criteria (Title 50, Chapter 19) for Housing Authorities.
The Housing Authority is required by law [I.C. § 50-1912] to manage and operate its housing projects in an efficient manner so as to enable it to fix the rentals for dwelling accommodations at the lowest possible rates consistent with providing adequate, safe and sanitary accommodations.

- Low-Income Housing Applicants: The Formula that the Housing Authority abides by to evaluate if you are Considered Low-Income family is as follows according to law by [I.C. § 50-1912]:
The Housing Authority shall not accept any person as a tenant in any housing project, if the person or persons who would occupy the dwelling accommodations have an annual net income in excess of five (5) times, the annual rental of the quarters to be furnished such person or persons, except that in the case of families with three (3) or more minor dependents, such ratio shall not exceed six (6) to one (1). In computing the rental for the purpose of selecting tenants.
